Week 53: The most cooked service ever

 大家好!

We had been texting this guy who had been going to institute, and he was asking us to help him move some stuff (a non-member). So we went with the Elders who serve his area in Cantonese work to go help out. We met him at the MTR station, and he's like "Great, we're all here. But first we have to go to McDonalds." So he buys us some McDonalds and we eat, then we're like "Yo we don't have that much time, we should probably go." So we spend the next 30 minutes following him through active construction zones and random compounds to his house. By the time we get there we only have like 30 minutes til we need to leave. Then he plays "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley on his speaker, we put 10 umbrellas in a bag, and then he's like "okay that's enough for today." And then we went back to the chapel for a lesson.

Highlights
- We planned our zone conference training with the STLs this week and it went super well! We got everything done and are ready for Zone Conference next week. Kind of. Still gotta review everything and whatnot. It's gonna be so good though, much revelation was received
- Our baptismal date friend Noumonvi passed his baptismal interview!! He gets baptized next Sunday. His wife flew in from Idaho to be here, so we got to meet her yesterday at church. She's awesome, super sweet and kind.
- We got to go eat with the Tyagis again, and it was one of my favorite times so far. We taught them about the Melchizedek priesthood and helped them prepare. They passed their interviews yesterday, so next week they will be ordained!! To finish out the evening we sung a bunch of primary songs and hymns, and the Spirit was so powerful! Love that family so much
- Tried to meet some new members at church today, one of them was telling me about how when he got baptized into the church the missionaries told him he had to burn his Satan book. Will not be trying to get to know more members in the future, big mistake, would not recommend

Spiritual Thought
During a personal study this week I was studying about light. I have always loved the principle of light in the gospel, it's just always been something that I connect with. I listened to Elder Marcus B. Nash's talk about light, and one thing he shared stuck out to me. He talks about how God created us all with light inside of us. We can share that light, or we can suppress it, but it's up to us. He then goes on to ask how we share that light, and answers by saying that it's simple: because God created us with light, it's inherent to our nature. All we have to do is be true to who we are and who God made us to be. He gave us all unique personalities and gifts, meaning we all have unique ways to spread light

Love you all!
