Week 25: I didn't want to have WhatsApp anyways

 你哋好!

This week we got our WhatsApp banned 4 more times... We're fairly certain that we inherited some sort of curse, so we've been trying to figure out how to uncurse ourselves. No success so far unfortunately. But despite that totally crippling us, we've still been able to get a lot done this week!

Highlights:
- Both Jack and Charles passed their baptismal interviews this week!! Which means they'll both be getting baptized next Sunday. I'm so excited for them, they've also both asked for me to baptize them, which will be such a special experience! Shout-out to Elder Chen for coming in clutch for us this week and helping us finish Jack's lessons.
- I went on exchanges three times this week, once in Tai Po with Elder Roberts, once in Sha Tin/Tai Wai with Elder Rooks, and a half day in Tai Po with Elder Chen. They were all super fun, and I was able to have a lot of really good conversations!
- We had a crazy miracle happen this week: we did a district find on Friday where Elder Adcox and I started talking to this lady, found out she already believes in Jesus Christ, asked her why she believes, and then she said we should find a place to sit and talk. So we chatted for 15 minutes and exchanged contact info. Then the next day, she calls us while we're in an area near our chapel and says, "Hey, I'm near your chapel, are you free right now?" So we called up the Sisters and were like, "This is a long shot, but are you by the chapel right now?" and turns out they were, so we all met up, they called a member in via WhatsApp, and we had the most insane impromptu lesson of all time. She's actually so golden though, the Sisters were going crazy about her.
- We also had Thanksgiving this week! Our mission president gave us all an extra hour of dinner time and an extra $50 HKD each to have Thanksgiving dinner as an apartment, so we bought some roasted pork from a street vendor, I made mashed potatoes without a recipe (they actually turned out fire,) Elder Chen made some choi sum, and Elder Adcox made coconut cream pork on rice. It was so good and a super fun time too!

Spiritual Thought:
This week there was a fire in Tai Po in some high-rise apartment buildings. According to the most recent reports, 128 people died, with 200 people still missing. Tai Po is the area right next to mine, and so this tragedy has been on everyone's minds recently. That means that when I've gone out finding, everyone brings it up to talk about. It's given me the opportunity to share about the plan of Salvation a lot: to share the peace and hope that comes from knowing that there is life after death, and that we can see all our loved ones again after this life. Having that knowledge is such a blessing, and I have such a strong testimony that that's true.
On that note, as well, I want to ask you all to pray for the people who have been affected by this fire.

Love you all!
