Week 18: KFC is best enjoyed in moderation

 大家好!

This week was pretty chaotic, I went right up to the border with Mainland China, went on exchanges, and then watched General Conference for three days.

Highlights:
- On Tuesday Elder Chuy and I went finding within 100ft of the Mainland China border. Kinda wild.
- I went on exchanges on Thursday and found some super awesome people, including a dude from Colombia which was kinda wild!
- On Friday and Saturday, my district finally got to watch General Conference together! It was honestly one of my favorite Conferences of my life, I loved it! I'm a little late to jump on this, but Elder Brown cooked so hard with his talk; if you missed it somehow 100% go read it!
- Also on Friday we got lunch while we watched, and right now KFC has a $50 deal for 6 pieces of fried chicken. The other Elders in the district and I jumped on that thing cause that's a legendary deal. Then we proceeded to each eat six. Pieces. Of KFC chicken. By the third piece I did NOT want to eat any more bro, it did not hit. Would not recommend.
- On Saturday we had three lessons in the morning before watching Conference and we put our friend Hugo on baptismal date!!! Then I proceeded to help our member Andrew (The one I've mentioned before) with his Chemistry homework. In Cantonese. That was rather difficult, but we got there in the end 😂
- Our friend Charles came to both Sunday sessions of Conference in Cantonese yesterday and he absolutely loved it! Bro was bopping his head to Called to Serve and following along on Gospel Library on his phone and highlighting stuff! Actually so elect, I have super high hopes for him!!

Anyways, I'll leave it there for this week so this doesn't go on for wayyyyy too long, but I had a ton more happen - it was nuts!!

Spiritual thought:
One of my favorite lines from Conference was when Elder Uchtdorf said, "You left heaven to come here, but heaven has never left you!" I loved his whole talk about using our own unique gifts to do our part and bless others. We all have different gifts that we've been given and that we can use to benefit others. I've seen this a lot in my mission: every missionary in my district and zone have different gifts that they bring to the table as missionaries, and everyone uses these gifts to serve the people we teach. I know this is also true for all of us: we are all unique children of Heavenly Father, and He has given us unique gifts to bless His other children.

Love you all!
