大家好!心想事成! This week was so packed cause of Chinese New Year and Zone Conference both being in the same week. It was super fun though, a lot of cool stuff happened! Highlights - Tuesday was Chinese New Year, so to start off the day we had a member of the mission presidency, President Woo, do a mission wide Zoom call to teach everyone about Chinese New Year. I learned a ton and it was super cool, and also a blast cause President Woo is so funny 😂 He's actually a member of the Ward I serve in right now and he's the best. After that they had us deep clean our apartments for two hours, which is outrageous cause you're not supposed to sweep and clean on Chinese New Year cause if you do you sweep away all the luck. So if I don't find new friends this week it's because of that. The rest of the day we just had studies and then walking around saying happy new year to everyone and looking at decorations and stuff. Super fun! - Thursday morning we went to a Ward BBQ activity...

Week 36: Everyone in my district is cooked

大家好! In the last month: I went to a clinic to get my wrist checked out because it had a sharp pain, Elder Halgren got food poisoning, Elder Yip went in to get his ankle checked cause it was also being wonky, Elder Bentley went in for his shoulder surgery and is now recovering, Elder Grimley went in to get his eyes checked because his vision was fuzzy and he was getting headaches, and now Sister Nawahine is having stomach issues. So long story short everyone is dying Highlights - So because we took Elder Bentley to the hospital for his surgery on Wednesday, Elder Grimley, Elder Yip and I were a trio for a couple days until we got Elder Bentley back. It was so much fun, we had a great time and some awesome miracles:  - We met this super nice mainlander that we talked to for a while and got a picture with! Talked to them a ton about Jesus  - I had a 25-minute conversation with a lady on the bus, she was the nicest old lady I've met in Hong Kong - I also got to go learn Chi...

Week 35: The Elders Quorum is at war

大家好! Probably had the most insane week of my mission this week. Just the most insanity ever. But it was super good!! So many cool miracles and awesome things, and some also less awesome things that will still at least interesting Highlights: - On Wednesday I went on exchanges with Elder Bentley, the 23 year old British Elder in my district. It was LEGENDARY. We never even had time to plan our day because of how insane things got. We started off the morning with some really great conversations about some things I've been having a hard time with and he gave me some really helpful advice. Then while we're talking we get a call from the Sisters we serve with telling us to come to the chapel to give a guy a tour. He ends up being super lit. Then as we're leaving the chapel we run into a member from Sheung Shui, the old area I used to serve in. Crazily enough, Elder Bentley also served there in the past and also knew him. He was having a really really bad day, and we were able ...

Week 34: Don't eat 4 raw oysters back to back

大家好! Our Stake President took us and the Sisters to this place called MoMo Cafe which is part of a Marriott hotel in the downtown area. It was $880 HKD per person, over $100 USD per person. All you can eat buffet style. I ate a rediculous amount of food, including 4 raw oysters. The Stake President asked if we were allowed to eat raw seafood by our Mission President and we said yeah cause we thought he would order sushi or something. 10 minutes later they come out with a giant tray of raw oysters. My first thought was "Hey cool new food!" Cause I love trying new stuff. I ate one and it was good. I ate two and that one didn't feel great so I was like "maybe that'll be all for me." And then all three of the other missionaries at the meal wimped out and I had to eat the last two big ones. Not a fun time. But the rest of the food was amazing Highlights: - Update on our miracle friend Andy who's 13 and his parents won't let him meet with us when he gets...
